Why pick me?* (My career in a nutshell)

My career in a paragraph? Ooh good challenge. First – Journalism degree.

Then a freelance writer for lads’ mags FHM and Loaded. Great fun!

Then I went back-packing. (hold on, it gets better). Back to London, few various positions (one was at Net-a-Porter; great insight into the world of fashion that I had no place in).

Next – thought i’d study for a law degree. (proper hard work, that).

A turn at media giant IMG, writing intellectual property legal copy and telling Russian websites that they couldn’t knock-off content from our biggest client, Wimbledon.

Then off to the sunny isle of Bermuda to be a media reporter for a criminal barrister. Think ‘Death in Paradise’ but with more rum.

When I hit the UK again I started copywriting for agencies. Loved it, but I wanted to blow my own trumpet so went freelance again.

Yes my CV is eclectic – but I can write about boobs and bums for a client one day, then a serious legal-y white paper document the next. Tone of voice I can do – From 12 year old techies who love gaming, to middle-aged men in Lycra, ladies who love to lunch and retired Law partners.

I get it. I can immerse myself in every subject you throw at me and I’ll research the life out of it.

Experience is everything, and I have a whole load of that.
